This presentation to the Lismore Australian Forest Growers 2014 National Conference discusses, first, the design principles followed in establishing the Ballarat Region Treegrowers biorich plantation of over 40 different indigenous and forestry species at Lal Lal, SW Vic; then, secondly, the silviculture implemented and lessons learned since first planting 4 years ago.

It looks at how farm foresters who follow biorich principles in design and silviculture build resilience for both themselves and their landscape. It suggests a pathway as to how landholders can become custodians, caring for their country – for pdf of presentation, click here
